Full remote Data Engineer for Data Warehouse
Description
We are looking for candidates who are interested in working remotely, living in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, or Poland, and who are nationals or permanent residents of these countries.
Successful candidates will join a newly formed Data Warehouse team of skilled Data Engineers, reporting directly to the Head of IT. This team plays a key role in a global company headquartered in Germany, offering the opportunity to work on international data projects supporting global operations and business intelligence.

- develop, implement, and ensure the ongoing maintenance and optimization of a comprehensive, next-generation group data warehouse and business intelligence solutions
- architecting scalable data models, designing ETL processes, and creating robust data pipelines that align with the strategic goals of the organization
- close collaboration with stakeholders to deliver intuitive, actionable BI tools and dashboards that empower data-driven decision-making across all business units
- ensuring compatibility with updated infrastructure while maintaining data integrity and minimizing operational disruptions
- analyzing the current architecture, designing a migration strategy, and setting up data transformation processes
- collaborate with other teams to test and optimize performance in the new environment, aiming for improved efficiency and readiness for future advancements
- manage changes in legacy systems and new environments according to user requirements
Requirements
- proven experience with MS Fabric and/or Board platforms and strong knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and proficiency in SQL, MS SQL Server, or SparkSQL
- Git-based collaboration is an integral part of your workflow
- solid expertise in data analytics, data management, reporting, or planning
- hands-on experience with analytics projects built on Microsoft Azure, where you've developed proficiency in tools like Power BI
- knowledge of Python/PySpark, SQL, Cognos Analytics/TM1, and Qlik Sense/QlikView would be advantageous
